Stuffed

This is the only word i could think of to describe how I feel. I have never experienced OHSS, but this chick has something brewing. My last appt my E2 was over 3300. Impressive for this possible, too many cycles in a year chick if I say so myself! My dose was slightly lowered my last night and then i triggered the next day. I always get super constipated after retrievals. But since this was an IUI I was just not expecting it.

I have tried collace one time a day, but not much is happening. My whole body hurts and worse off so does my self esteem. I use to be about 80lbs heavier years ago so any sense of fullness puts me over the edge. my husband has tried to comfort me but that is not helping. Does anyone have any other tricks to make this better? I will probably call my nurse manager tomorrow as I dont think things are severe, but I want some relief in the meantime. Also, has anyone ever had this after IUI. This started literally at ovulation and has not stopped and now i am on PIO and crinone so you know with progesterone it will only get  worse.

Other than that I have been trying to not think too much about this cycle. if it fails it fails, the only thing it cost me was the cost of sperm. Let me not downplay that costs but after 5ivfs that felt like a nickle candy purchase.

I hope everyone is doing well~

  1. I had mild OHSS after my IUI attempt. The way it made me feel freaked me out.
My clinic adviced me to drink lots and lots of fluid and to increase my salt intake. They suggested clomato juice as my first choice.

    Hope you feel better soon!

  2. I have some "bathroom issues" and it may sound silly but what ALWAYS works for me when nothing else does is dried apricots. I used to babysit for this poor little baby who dealt with constipation issues and it would always work for him too. Last month day of and a week after IUI I had big issues with my constipation. It went away after a week. No fun. Sorry!!!

  3. i literally just got off the phone with my mom and was talking to her about "potty stuff" lol. i talk about it far too much. as gross as it sounds, i found that hot tea with a shot of prune juice or apple juice does the trick. or, if you really want to go all out, fiber tortillas...they work wonders.
i've been thinking about you and keeping you in my prayers! i hope that you feel better very very soon. lots of love xoxox

  5. PIO and Crinone? I always thought everyone did one or the other. That's a lot of progesterone! Hopefully everything will flush itself out soon (pun intended). Thinking of you!

  6. my clinic is pretty cutting edge so they push the envelope. their protoclos are 2 crinone or pio and crinone daily. things seem to be on the upswing but i am in constant awe of how much time it takes daily to remember to do this all. my clinic also rx lovenox to almost anyone particularly repeat failure pts like me. fun times. i can only imagine that pregnancy will be easier than this!

  7. I stick by the fact that you never know which cycle is going to be the "one". Sometimes it is not the one you are expecting at all.
